MyDMS

A feature complete preview of the upcoming 1.6.0 release has been packaged
and is being made available for users interested in trying out the brand new
document life-cycle management component. Also included in this release is a
brand new user interface and theme system.

This early CVS preview package is not provided with any support and users
should not deploy this release as an upgrade to any existing MyDMS
deployment. A number of database features have changed, and there is no
direct upgrade path included with this package.

A fully documented upgrade route will be provided when the 1.6.0 release
enters the beta stage. This does not require the user to move existing
tables, but it does require that some of the new tables are seeded properly
in order for the more advanced table joins to work.

To install the basic database, run the install script as before. In addition,
ensure that the database user has CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE privileges as this
is required for a number of the queries.

N.B. If you are using the Internet Explorer web browser, there is a known
display error with the new theme. It doesn’t affect functionality, but it is
not correct. This is being worked on and will be fixed prior to the next
update. In the meantime, Firefox displays the pages correctly.
